i don't know yet about the current boss, but i had teachers, who 
indeed had liked nice figures much more than text. now i want to be 
prepared for such cases :) - actually this placement is an extreme 
time-saver and with the argument that i may spend this time in the 
lab doing some other experiments instead, i think i can convince the 
current boss, that it does not matter. latex is for lazy people who 
like setting things once and then simply go on with the productivity.

i definitely need to learn more about openoffice. splitting up a 
document into files with a global document would solve many things.
