Interestingly, these people rarely have a problem free workstation.  My girlfriend and her aunt always criticize me for using linux, saying its too hard to use, and I should use windows so other people can use my workstation.  Between the two of them they have 5 PCs, and only two of them are usable.  One of them I put Ubuntu on for her son, and the other is my Arch webserver.  Go figure.
