kernel26ck is another excellent kernel package which could helps you to have a
bootable kernel in reserve. And if you want to controll it  by yourself the
abs building system of arch is better understandable as every other package
system what i know. It don't takes much time to make your own at example
kernel26stable package. But i think kernel26ck is enough.
