The reason the tools are provided to build you own repo is so that you
can build your own repo. If you're doing this at work, you can easily
setup a repo build from the official stuff, but only those packages
you want (i.e. that you deem stable). I've done it myself. Besides
about 30 minutes worth of organization, it ends up being entirely
painless.
