[arch] USB Eithernet Adapters

Sometime ago I happened to obtain a Belkin USB ethernet adapter. At the
time I
happened to be running Fedora Core 4. Much to my amazement, when I plugged
it in, it was recognized on boot and just worked. Unfortunately, it doesn't
seem
to "just work" under Arch. (It also doesn't seem to "just work" under
Knoppix
which I also find to be a bit amazing because my experience has been that
most anything "just works" under Knoppix.) So, my question is: Can someone
point me to some documentation to use to see if I can't get this thing to
work
under Arch? I've never really fooled around much with USB ethernet adapters
because my only experience is limited to the case where it just worked out
of the box. So, I don't know where to begin. Thanks for any input.
